Qatar Development Bank (QDB) is very popular in Qatar for providing a number of services for the Industrial Sector in Qatar. Apart from Financing of Industrial projects, they also provide Export support, Advisory Services and various other related services.
One of the most popular funding from QDB is their Direct Lending Scheme, which are for Industrial Projects, where the total project funding is in excess of QAR 15 Million. ThisScheme is also available for Tourism Sector, Education and Health care sector.
Under the Direct Lending Scheme, QDB extends its support for the following areas:
• Purchase of Machinery – Where 60% is provided by QDB
• Construction of Factory – Where 60% is provided by QDB
• Raw material Purchases as well as Working capital support – Where 100% support is provided by QDB for raw materials
These are normally provided under a Shariah compliant lending mechanism where the profit rate ranges from 3% to 5% per annum.The maximum Period for repayment is 15 years and the maximum grace period is 3 years.QDB has launched a One Stop Shop to understand all the services being rendered by QDB.
